FD Global Connections in partnership with Discover Global Network is offering 4 Fintechs (Australia and UK) a place on the 3rd annual NYC Immersion “Finteh 2019” Program. 

The New York City Immersion Program features a custom- designed schedule of relevant meetings per Fintech in New York over 5 days. Meetings are scheduled with potential investors, clients and distributors (based on needs), as well as presentations from respected Professional Services companies.

  • Scaling into USA
  • Seeking introductions to Investors (Angels, VC’s etc) in New York
  • Seeking individual meetings with potential clients in New York
  • Require expert advice on getting established in the US
  • Focussed on Payments, Authentication and Identity and Customer Experience.

Applications Open: 19th September

Applications Close: 5th October

Fintech’s confirmed: Week beginning 7th October

Discovery Call: Week beginning 14th October

Virtual Webinar: Week beginning 21st October

New York City: 18th – 22nd November.

What is the cost of the program?

Fintechs must apply to be considered for the New York City Immersion Progam. A total of 4 Fintech’s from Australia and UK will be selected to participate in the program with full sponsorship offered by Discover Global Network which includes the following costs:

  • Program fee
  • Return economy airfare to New York
  • 5 nights accommodation
  • No equity is taken.
  • 1 person per Fintech.

For those Fintechs who apply for sponsorship and are not successful in securing sponsorship, they will given the opportunity to join the program, but will be required to cover their own costs as follows:

  • Program Fee: AUD10,000 per Fintech (ex GST/VAT).
  • Return economy airfare to New York
  • Accommodation
  • No equity is taken.
  • Full payment is required within 14 days of confirmation.
  • 1 person per fintech.
Are accomodation, airfares and meals included in the program fee?

Four fintech’s will be selected for sponsorship by Discover Global Network, which includes the program fee, NYC accommodation, return economy airfare to New York City and some meals are included.

Fintech’s NOT successful in receiving a sponsored place on the program, but offered a place will be required to cover their own costs including the Program fee, their airfare, accommodation and some meals.

Do I have to attend the workshops?

Yes!

We will be conducting a mandatory virtual workshop to prepare fintech’s for the week in New York.

All workshops and meetings scheduled in New York are compulsory to attend in person.

Am I guaranteed that I will receive investment from Investors I meet in New York?

No.

The NYC Immersion Program is curated per Fintech giving founders a tremendous opportunity to meet individually with investors. This is the start of the capital raise process and we hope to hear from success stories in the future – but unfortunately we cannot guarantee that FinTech’s will raise capital during the program.

Am I guaranteed that I will sign up a client during the week in New York?

No.

The NYC Immersion Program is curated per Fintech giving founders a tremendous opportunity to individually meet decision makers in prospect companies. This is the start of the sales process and we hope to hear from success stories in the future – but unfortunately we cannot guarantee sales wins.

Who organises USA Visa's and Travel Insurance?

Each Fintech is responsible for organising:

  • Travel insurance to the USA
  • Relevant Visa’s to travel to the USA
What else do I need to know?

FD Global Connections and business partners who deliver the New York City Immersion do not:

  • Own Intellectual Property of any participants. All Intellectual Property developed by the applicants is retained by each respective applicant
  • Guarantee the ultimate success of each participants entry into the USA market.
I need an Interim Business Development/Sales Representative on the ground in New York after the program. Can the program connect me?

Yes – when you apply, ensure you indicate that you are interested in meeting with representatives.

Which Fintech's are encouraged to apply for this program?

Fintech’s with a focus on the following areas are encouraged to apply:

  • Payments: e-Commerce, POS tech, Shopping Carts, Gateways, Payment Aggregators andFacilitators, Gateways
  • Authentication and Identity: IoT, Blockchain, AR/VR, Biometrics, Connected Cars/Homes,Transit, Healthcare, Insurance, Travel-w/ appropriately relevant payments applications
  • Customer Experience: Loyalty, Deposit Banking Solutions, Student Solutions, Acquisition Tech.
