Overview

NYC Immersion Program is a program designed for Australian businesses that are ready to expand into the US, with New York as their market entry point. The fully curated program offers carefully selected companies the opportunity to prepare for, and be connected with, providers across Australia and USA to facilitate a successful USA launch.

This program has been specifically designed for Women in Tech, or companies which have evidence of diversity policies.

SYDNEY WORKSHOPS
FD Global Connections and Tyro FinTech Hub will conduct these workshops along with experts in scaling internationally. Also hear from companies who have successfully entered the USA market.

NEW YORK WEEK
A fully curated week of presentations and individual meetings for each participating company. Participants can expect personal introductions to trusted professional service firms, investors and potential clients.

ONGOING SUPPORT
Strategy: To support participants after their return to Australia, each company will be required to present their US market strategies to an audience of international C-Suite experts.

Mentoring: Each company is matched to a mentor who has specialist knowledge and experience of the US Market.

Criteria

  1. Can demonstrate strong diversity practices and policies
  2. Ready to scale-up into US, or have already started to scale
  3. Earning significant revenue in Australia
  4. Seeking connections with investors in New York
  5. Require Sales/Lead Generation in New York
  6. Connections to trusted Professional Services firms in New York

Note: when we review applications, we take into consideration your whole business; ie even if you don’t meet 1 element of our criteria, this does not mean you won’t be accepted.  We encourage all companies to apply which are ready to scale.

Who are the Partners involved in the Program?

FD Global Connections partners with the organisations in Sydney and New York to ensure a bespoke experience for each participating company.

What is the cost of the program?

There are 3 packages available, starting at AUD10,000 (ex GST). Email us for details: enquiry@fdglobal.com.au

Are accomodation, airfares and meals included in the program fee?

How many places are available in the program?

A maximum of 10 companies can join the program. Each company can nominate 1 employee to participate. If additional staff participate, a small fee will apply.

When will I find out if I have been accepted into the program?

We will review all applications week of 25th March and inform all applicants by Friday 29th March.

I don't live in Sydney, do I have to attend the workshops?

Yes. It is mandatory for all participants to attend all workshops in Sydney and New York.

 

Am I guaranteed that I will receive investment from Investors I meet in New York?

No.

Am I guaranteed to sign up any of the clients I meet during the program?

No.

Who organises USA Visa's and Travel Insurance?

Participants are responsible for ensuring they organise the following:

  • Travel insurance to the USA
  • Relevant Visa’s to travel to the USA.
What else do I need to know?

Partners in this program do not:

  • Own Intellectual Property of any participants. All Intellectual Property developed by the applicants is retained by each respective applicant
  • Guarantee the ultimate success of each participants entry into the USA market.
Can the program connect me with Interim Sales Representatives?

Yes – when you apply, ensure you indicate that you are interested in meeting with potential representatives.
